This project will be guided by City of Melbourne strategies, the views and knowledge of the local Indigenous community, residents, and interest groups and research by the University of Melbourne.
Create a novel streetscape, from an innovative design that minimizes construction costs by retaining site materials and only introducing recycled materials where possible.
It will increase the connectivity of Royal Park with surrounding green spaces and streetscapes by providing a habitat patch for invertebrates (mesofauna, and macrofauna such as the Blue Banded Bee) and temper the local Urban Heat Island effect by reducing impermeable surfaces and radiant heat.
Providing opportunities for community participation and interaction with nature.
